| Went to the veterinarian today because my cat had a bloated stomach. Turns out she had FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) which is an incurable disease. Thankfully, Lily hadn't been suffering from it just yet. She was still eating and drinking normally, and I knew it best to put her out of her misery before it started, besides giving her medication to prolong her life. The doctor was nice enough to let me be by her side as he euthanized her. I will never, ever forget the day that I found her on the street while walking home from school in 7th grade. For these 7 long years, we've been inseparable. For the rest of the 60 years that I have on this planet, I will never, ever forget her. Thank you, Lily, for all the times you made me smile. | |

| I am so sorry to hear this Cal )):. But, from what you said, you made the right choice. There's no cure from FIP (I've lost one of my cats from it as well) & if she wasn't suffering at the time, then it was the best point to save her. She definitely loved you, you were the one that saved her from the street, and gave her the best 7 years she would've ever had. | |

| Sorry to hear this Cal 8(
We had adopted a birman that had FIP from when he was a kitten. They told us he wouldn't live long -but he didn't show symptoms until he was 9, and it came on so fast, it was horrible; so you definitely did the right thing before it got any worse x
