Message 'lag'

I'm...pretty sure this is the right topic to put this in. But anyway.

I've noticed it occasionally over a couple months now, but when global messages are sent, it seems that most people get them and some don't. Of course, some including me. I can't decide if it's been just me or if others have been having the same problem? Sometimes I won't get announcements at all, and sometimes they come like a month later (which makes me confused when EC says they sent out the announcement for a new event and I don't see it at all).

I actually thought it was just global messages until my friend sent me a message on Christmas. I got it in my email all fine and dandy-like and read it from there. Didn't reply. Didn't notice that it didn't show up on map at all until I found that it randomly appeared an hour ago. So maybe it's just me.

Any ideas?

Is it just with CPI?

I don't go on other sites, so I have no idea.

Are you talking about the message that goes in your inbox, or the blue global message that appears at the top of your screen like a call?

It could be due to a full inbox so it's slower though I'm not sure.

Maybe dumb question but have you tried to see if this is the same with other accounts you have?

This happens often, on not just on Cat's Paw Island. There is something wonky with the messaging system. Sometimes messages are late, sometimes you get ghost messages, and sometimes everything arrives just as it's supposed to.

I've received messages as late as an hour after they were sent as well, and even then the in-chat "You have received a private message!" is delayed.

Ghost messages have been around for a long time. I don't exactly know what they're for, or why they appear at all really.

It's all the messaging system, but I believe "ghost messages" are also tied to bad logins. Every time I get one, I just happen to have a bad login.
