| Yona of the Dawn has everything you want from a story, it gives you a fresh idea being based in the feudal era war times. This anime/manga has a lot of background story to each character, great visual animation, and an enticing plot that focuses on many different topics like the struggle of power, war, and poverty. Also how to cope with the struggles of emotions of loving or hating a human being and having to start all over in life finding reasons to survive in the world. All of the characters are lovable, relatable, and are not simply put together characters. It has a lot of hilarious humor that isn't your typical humor that tries too hard to get a laugh out of people. The last thing would be this story always keeps you on your toes and just when you think you have figured out what will happen next, the idea completely changes with your guesses being wrong and you wanting to know more about what is really happening in this very intricate anime/manga.
Also might I suggest Code Geass, this story is simply amazing and I myself have just started watching it. Code Geass has a lot of the same qualities as Yona of the Dawn but it is the opposite setting being in a more sci-fi world where the country of Japan has been overthrown by a group called Britannia who controls 1/3 of the worlds population. A man named Lelouch is given the power of geass, which he can use once on anybody he ever encounters, and with this geass he can command them to do anything he wants as long as they make eye contact with him. With Lelouches power of the geass and the rebells known as the Elevens who are from Japan, they try to increase their numbers in a struggle to overthrown the Britannia group who dictates them all. | |

| just gonna say a few things about what people said above first:
yes @ tg manga. and if you do watch the anime first, keep in mind that the second season is an entirely diverse route (it was one of the authors original ideas that wasn't chosen for the actual manga plot) so it's no where near as good as the real one. yeah.
knowing that you liked death note, you'll really enjoy code geass. they have a very similar plot in my opinion??? it was actually the first anime i ever watched (since one of my online friends convinced me to give it a shot), & i now own both seasons on blu-ray lmao
anywaaays, ill just let you see everything ive ever watched (i forgot a few i need to add like parasyte but yeah ill get around to that sometime) aaand if anything interest you lemme know either on skype or here and ill tell you if it's worth it / how good it was (because believe me there are some bad ones on that list that i sadly finished)
im currently on mobile, which makes me too lazy to write out full recommendations. maybe ill edit this tomorrow | |
